How ENVPLAS® Board are Transforming the Industry

The Advantages of ENVPLAS® Board

ENVPLAS® Board which is made up of PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride) material is waterproof due to the distinctive properties of PVC and the manufacturing process involved. PVC itself is hydrophobic and does not have polar bonds that attract water molecules, meaning that it naturally repels water. The high temperature and pressure involved in the manufacturing process helps fuse the PVC molecules tightly together, reducing the likelihood for water penetration.
ANTI-TERMITE
Termites primarily feed on cellulose, a natural component found in wood and other plant-based materials. As ENVPLAS® Board does not contain any wood composite, it is likely that termites will not have interest in these boards as a food source!
Also, termites are attracted to moist and damp environment. ENVPLAS® Board being total waterproof does not provide the ideal condition for termites to thrive.
FORMALDEHYDE-FREE
The manufacturing process of ENVPLAS® Board does not involve the use of formaldehyde-containing chemicals and adhesives, contributing to the boards’ formaldehyde-free nature. ENVPLAS® Board has also been lab tested to be free from formaldehyde, VOCs and harmful substances, ensuring safe usage and healthy environment for users.
MOLD & MILDEW RESISTANCE
Unlike porous material like wood which can trap moisture and promotes mold growth, ENVPLAS® Board have a non-porous surface. This smooth and impermeable surface discourages the accumulation of moisture, hence preventing conditions necessary for mold and mildew to grow.
